Privacy

Effective September 2026. This is the privacy policy for westgamisfits.com, run by the West Georgia Misfits youth baseball club.

What we collect

• Player: name, birth date, jersey / pants / hat sizes, positions, and school.
• Parent or guardian: name, email address, and phone number.
• Emergency contact, if you give us one.
• Waiver signature: the name you type or draw, the date, and which version of the waiver you signed.
• Sponsors: business name, contact details, logo, and payment status.
• Fan photos you choose to send us.
• Page-view counts. No cookies and no identifiers — just a tally of how many people opened a page. Every page’s footer carries a Don’t count my visits link that turns even that off for your browser.

Why

To run the team — the roster, the schedule, uniform orders and dues — and to contact you about your player. We also use it to publish the public roster and team photos, and to thank the businesses that sponsor us.

What is public

On this website, three things are public:

• The roster, which shows a player’s first initial and last name (“M. Rodriguez”), number and position.
• Photos and highlights that parents have sent us.
• Sponsor names and logos.

Nothing else about a family is public. Addresses, birth dates, phone numbers, emails and sizes never appear on the website.

Who sees the rest

Only the West Georgia Misfits coaching staff, and the services that run the site for us:

• Vercel — hosting and file storage.
• Resend — the email we send you.
• Supabase — coach sign-in.
• GameChanger and TeamReach — the apps we link to for scores and team messages.

We never sell your information, and we never share it for advertising.

Children

This site is for parents and guardians. Players do not sign themselves up — only a parent or guardian may submit a form here, and only for their own child.

How long we keep it

• Player and family information: through the season the player is registered for. It is removed when a coach cleans up the roster, or sooner if you ask.
• Nightly backups: kept for a limited window, then deleted.
• Email records: kept for 90 days.

See, fix or delete your information

Email westgamisfits@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. Tell us the player’s name and what you want — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We answer within 30 days.

Deleting also takes the player off the public roster and removes the photos we control. We can’t remove photos other people have already shared on Facebook or elsewhere.

Sponsors

For sponsors we keep the business name, a contact, the logo and the payment status for the length of the sponsorship term. Logos are public on the sponsors page while the sponsorship is active.
